Day 4 Travel to Cussamer

A 5-hour ride to Kusammer on the border between Finland and Russia, famous for its canopy shape covered in snow. Vehicles drive on the empty and cold northern highway, reindeer occasionally pass by, and frozen lakes and continuous forests spread intermittently. Although the journey is long, it is not boring.

Today, there are only 8 rooms in the residence, located on the top of the hill, overlooking the forest and snowfield. An open-air hot tub and sauna are available (extra cost). The restaurant offers a fusion of Nordic and French cuisine, accompanied by excellent mellow wines.

Day 5 Snowshoeing

Put on snowshoes and hike through the hills and snowfields (about 4 hours). Accompanied by the dim blue light in the morning and evening, the pine forest covered with thick snow presents different shapes. If the sky is clear, the scene is like a dream and a fairy tale; If the clouds are gathered, the eyes will change into a fog forest full of melancholy and unknown.

Day 6 Snowshoe hike to Helsinki

With yesterday’s hiking experience, today I try another more difficult hill snowfield. Here, the terrain is higher, the trees are taller and denser. From time to time, northern noise crows land on tourists’ hands or shoulders (about 5 hours on foot) In the evening, I fly to Helsinki (17:55-19:40) Pick up by car and drop off to the hotel.

During this period, the guide will also share interesting anecdotes about culture and art from a local perspective. In the evening, fly to Oslo and stay at the airport hotel.

Day 8 to the Lofoten Islands, half-day tour

In the morning, take a flight to the Lofoten Islands, then walk the town and pier of Henningswell and visit local art galleries. Finally, we stayed in a warm wooden house next to the harbor and transformed into a traditional fisherman’s house, and stayed here for 2 consecutive nights. If the weather permits that day, go out to the beach surrounded by fjords and wait for the aurora.

Day 9 Lofoten Islands Excursion

In the morning, I came to a village with only a few dozen households, hiked through birch forests and mountain peaks, and went to the end of Kvarvika Beach (about 5 kilometers round trip, about 4 hours) to enjoy the magnificent scenery composed of turquoise water, white sandy beaches and steep cliffs. I believe it will give you the feeling of being at the end of the world.

Return to the hotel in the afternoon for a leisurely vacation. If the weather permits that day, go out to the beach surrounded by fjords and wait for the aurora.

Day 10 Lofoten Islands Excursion
Fishing has always been the backbone of Lofoten’s culture and economy. You will follow an experienced local captain and go fishing in a traditional wooden boat (11-13:30) on a fisherman’s adventure that lasts through the Viking age, with fjord views and soaring seabirds along the way. Once the fishing is over, the captain will expertly fillet the fish to cook as ingredients for your lunch.

In the afternoon, visit the three most beautiful fishing villages in Norway-Hamne, Salixoy and Rennes, and there are stretches of soft white sandy beaches waiting for you to discover along the way, stop and go to take photos, and unconsciously lose track of time. Stay at today Fisherman’s log cabin in Hamne area, easy to enjoy sunset/sunrise views.

Arrange a family bistro for dinner and taste authentic seafood dishes. The ingredients are all sourced from local farmers and hunters, cod and flounder, seaweed and berries, snow rabbits and wei finches, and wonderful island cuisine is cooked in a sustainable way.
